¡¡¡¡Here, we will examine how the Lanarkshire stars shape up and see if their dictated ratings in the game are a fair reflection on how we expect them to perform in just over a week s time.

¡¡¡¡Declan Gallagher

¡¡¡¡First up is Aberdeen s Declan Gallagher. The centre-back had another stellar season for Motherwell which earned him caps in the nation s crucial play-offs – before his move to the Dons last month.

¡¡¡¡His performances didn t go unnoticed in PES who honed in on the details when updating his appearance and the results are uncanny.

¡¡¡¡

¡¡¡¡Declan Gallagher

¡¡¡¡From Hamilton originally, Gallagher s form for the Steelmen was a huge factor in becoming a mainstay in the squad.

¡¡¡¡PES has given him a reasonable overall rating of 70 (out of 100) which isn t bad going compared to other internationals in the game.

¡¡¡¡Likeness score: 4/5

¡¡¡¡Stephen O Donnell

¡¡¡¡Motherwell s Stephen O Donnell s selection in the 26-man squad was never in doubt.

¡¡¡¡He s became a trusted starter at right-back for the Tartan Army.

¡¡¡¡

¡¡¡¡Stephen O Donnell

¡¡¡¡And like his former teammate Gallagher, PES has rated him an overall 70.

¡¡¡¡He too was part of the updated graphics which boast a very close likeness to the full-back, albeit perhaps slightly darker hair than real life!

¡¡¡¡Likeness score: 4/5

¡¡¡¡Kieran Tierney

¡¡¡¡The best rated player in the Lanarkshire camp on PES is Kieran Tierney.

¡¡¡¡Unsurprisingly with his upwards trajectory at Arsenal, the attacking left-back is a good player to have in your team on PES.

¡¡¡¡

¡¡¡¡Kieran Tierney

¡¡¡¡The game rates him at 82 with blistering pace and an “offensive full-back” playing style.

¡¡¡¡Tierney s appearance in the game has been pretty much spot on for a number of years now due to his high profile – so all-in he is depicted pretty accurately on PES.

¡¡¡¡Likeness score: 5/5

¡¡¡¡David Turnbull

¡¡¡¡Unfortunately, PES is unable to digitally clone every single player in the game, it is usually the higher profile ones that are scanned for a like-for-like appearance.

¡¡¡¡Some may argue David Turnbull should be in this category, but being a relatively new name in PES roster, he appears via a default manual face-build – in other words, it doesn t really look like him.

¡¡¡¡

¡¡¡¡David Turnbull

¡¡¡¡Added to that, his first cap came only this week.

¡¡¡¡Nevertheless, the Celtic star s statistical ratings seem accurate, ranked an overall 73 and dubbed “the orchestrator” on his playing style.

¡¡¡¡Brought up in Motherwell s academy, it could be a big tournament for the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year, who PES also deem a decent asset.

¡¡¡¡Likeness score: 2/5

¡¡¡¡Kevin Nisbet

¡¡¡¡East Kilbride man Kevin Nisbet couldn t have gotten his international career off to a better start with a goal against the Netherlands on his debut.

¡¡¡¡The Hibs striker also joins Turnbull in the default method of appearance in PES, and frankly he is probably the furthest from a real-life resemblance amongst the Lanarkshire lads.

¡¡¡¡

¡¡¡¡Kevin Nisbet

¡¡¡¡The game describes him as a “goal poacher” with a fairly respectable 69.

¡¡¡¡PES also has him covering a number of positions in their mock-up of the forward. It s fair to say he could be a tricky player both at the Euros and in the virtual world!

¡¡¡¡Likeness score: 1/5
